All but one VOICE Board of Trustee member were present Wed., Nov. 18. There was good discussion with a number of plans laid down, including the start of the search for a Filipino National Director. Please pray that we will indeed be able to work the plan according to God's will.
The annual Grace Christian Education Convention went well, although tiring. Well received workshops, good sale of curriculum, and several excellent contacts made which indicate greater future growth. The President of the college that sponsors and hosts the Convention expressed his intention publicly before all 1,000+ delegates to help VOICE "seize the current moment of opportunity here in the Philippines," a real encouragement!
Praise God for a glowing report from Pastor Joey regarding the start-up of the Bible-values classes in a High School in Marikina, Metro Manila this past week! He specifically mentioned the principal's delight. Eighteen volunteers taught 6 classes.
Praise God for safe travel to the cooler mountain city of Baguio, and a comfortable place to rest while doing some VOICE related ministry. Pray for physical and spiritual refreshment.
Laura hopes to be getting back to her children's story project next month. She is still waiting for one more consultant to respond.
Progress, be it ever so slow, continues on the VOICE Training DVD project. Pray that we will continue to move ahead and see it to the finish line. Please pray for wisdom and creativity...and perseverance!
Praise God, as of last count, 114 churches have begun teaching the weekly Values Instruction Classes (VIC) in their adopted schools this new school year. Pray that many others will pursue this opportunity. We are asking God for 150 churches this school year!
The anticipated response from the three remaining Regional Department of Education offices continues to elude us. Please keep praying.
